1 - oh, joy
2 - shelterness
3 - real simple
4 - colette bream
i've got lots of goodies waiting to be unearthed and transformed for the kid's rooms.
they're all currently residing in the avalanche-death-trap i call "our garage".
here is what i want to do with what i already have -
1 - oh, joy
i have this dresser, now i just need to source the brass hardware
and figure out the best way to paint the ikea laminate finish -
those colors are heaven and i would copy them with extreme exactness.
2 - shelterness
i love this idea. i have a gagillion old lamps and a gagillion pieces of kid's plastic.
oh, and a garage full of spray paint.
3 - real simple
i love this, because their baby shoes are precious.
they melt my heart.
and i have a bunch of thrifted frames with no glass and lots of patina.
4 - colette beam (etsy shop)
i wouldn't buy this, sorry.
it's wonderful shop, but i love the idea of a gilt frame (have)
and sewing a three dimensional element to go in it.
charlie is a bit more of a heart girl.
a purple heart girl.
(though i love the gray)
5 - better homes and gardens
i kept the drawers from the kitchen demo -
they are not nearly as simple as these -
but after a good paint job with a deep gray or midnight blue -
and some modern pulls -
these will make for awesome lego, block and comic book storage under luke's future bunk bed.
any thoughts?
what do you have that you want to play with?

I just had some fun pulling together bits and pieces from storage and around the house to organize a narrow little hall off the kitchen that leads to our laundry room. We love how it turned out, it's the coziest place in the house now! ;o)
